Hilltop is a neighborhood bordered by Colorado Blvd. to the west, Holly Street to the East, Alameda Ave. to the South and Eighth Ave. to the North.

Hilltop is a high end prestigious neighborhood. Values start near $350,000 and rocket well into the millions. In recent years, many developers have purchased older and smaller homes on the larger lots typically available here and built mansions on them. This neighborhood is centrally located, and has Cherry Creek and the Cherry Creek Mall directly to the west. It is a five minute drive to the nearby neighborhoods of Polo Club , Bonnie Brae , Washington Park , and Denver Country Club. Graland Country Day School is a co-ed college prep school for grades K-9 and is a neighborhood private school in the Hilltop neighborhood. Hilltop like many of the historic Denver neighborhoods was not developed until water reached the area. A branch of the Highline canal called the “ City Lateral Canal ” was built in 1885. Hilltop was not an original neighborhood per se. It was not until 1893 that two other subdivisions were joined to create what is now Hilltop. Originally, to the north end of Hilltop was the Malone and DuBois Subdivision established in 1886. Later, the Eastern Capitol Hill Subdivision was created. The dividing line between 3rd and 4th avenues does not line up as these two original subdivisions were platted individually without integration with the other. In 1893, the two were combined as Hilltop and annexed to the City of Denver .
