This neighborhood is named after the serenity and nature of the Cherry Creek tributary that runs to the Platt River confluence. Cherry Creek is located in central Denver and generally runs from University Blvd. on the West side boundary to Colorado Blvd. on the East boundary, from 1st Ave. on the south to 6th Ave. on the north.

Cherry Creek is one of the central hubs known for commerce, arts, events, and entertainment. With a reputation for easy access, serviced by four major traffic arteries, downtown travel is no more than 10 minutes, and Interstate Travel only a few minutes away as well. With a mixed world of history and culture, Cherry Creek is a very desirable place to live.

Convenience is another virtue you will experience in this prominent neighborhood, with shops, stores, and entertainment within walking distance. Starting originally with smaller more modest homes built in the 1920’s to the completion of the mall in 1953, Cherry Creek is a neighborhood experiencing transition for the better. This change process has seen many of the original smaller homes being scraped and high end townhomes replacing them. It is not unusual to see a block with older homes and duplexes, new townhomes, new updated homes, and older tri-plexes.

A great feature of this eclectic neighborhood is that it is surrounded by other great neighborhoods including Belcaro, Polo Club, Bonnie Brae, and Washington Park to the south, Denver Hilltop to the east, Denver Country Club to the west and Congress Park to the north. The location of this neighborhood is one of the best near Downtown Denver.

The Cherry Creek shopping village and fashionable Cherry Creek Mall, the surrounding luxury homes, make this neighborhood a self contained island with everything one would need to live comfortably. Hundreds of stores, art galleries, boutiques, hair salons, cafes and restaurants serve to provide a long list of shopping and entertainment opportunities. Cherry Creek Parks and Recreation District have hundreds of miles of biking and hiking trails that connect through Cherry Creek. On a summer day, you can have breakfast at home, and ride your bike to downtown to see the theater. In the summer, the Cherry Creek Art Festival attracts thousands to the village environment to enjoy works of art by artists from all over the world. For these reasons, Cherry Creek is a truly unique Denver neighborhood.
