Atlanta Real Estate

In recent years Atlanta has become the hot, new cultural center of the South. Although Atlanta is Georgia’s capitol city and has always been the South’s most metropolitan city. However, Atlanta now has people flocking from New York, Los Angeles, Washington D.C., Chicago and other large cities to make a life for themselves in Atlanta. Atlanta is home to numerous celebrities and entertainers who are drawn to the fact that they can lead reasonably normal lives in the city of Atlanta. Many would suggest that it is Atlanta’s music that truly put the city “on the map.” It is affectionately called the “Dirty South” due to it’s recent surge of Grammy winning hip hop artists who consider Atlanta to be home. In addition, to its ever expanding music scene, Atlanta is also home to the corporate headquarters of Coca-Cola, Delta Airlines, Home Depot, and Southern Company, and Newell Rubbermaid, among others. Let’s not forget about Atlanta’s most recent addition – The Georgia Aquarium. The result is a thriving Atlanta real estate market. There is tons of new construction going up all over Atlanta and its surrounding suburbs. One can find new condos, lofts, townhomes, and single-family communities sprinkled all over the city. Downtown, Midtown, and Buckhead are some of the city’s fastest growing areas. Many suburban homeowners are selling their homes and moving into lofts and condos closer to the city. However, don’t think that this means the suburbs are being abandoned! In fact, Atlanta has wonderful suburban communities like Alpharetta, Decatur, and Stockbridge that are also thriving and growing on a daily basis.

Overall, Atlanta’s population has increased by approximately 50% in the last fifteen years, and it is projected that the city will experience another significant population increase over the next five years. While Atlanta, like many other cities has, in recent years, experienced some struggles in terms of tourism and transportation, things are now back on the upswing. With its steady growth and surge of jobs and entrepreneurial growth- Atlanta Real Estate is definitely one of America’s best places to work and live. Many would argue that Atlanta is, quite possibly, the next best thing to New York, City. If one is looking towards a Fortune 500 company for employment, to start a new business, or to start a family – Atlanta is a great place to be. And of course, the city is home to the Atlanta Falcons, the Atlanta Hawks, and tons of fabulous restaurants and nightlife spots.
